About Artist Mitchell Toker

Thank you for visiting this website featuring my artwork. Self-taught, I have been creating canvases, assemblage objects and furniture for over forty years.

I work with latex, acrylic and gouache paints, paper, wood, moulds, shellac, resin and found objects. My influences include: abstract and pop art, woodworking, collage, constructionism, graphic design and colourist painting. For the past several years I have been heavily influenced by artists such as Bridget Riley, Ian Davenport, Marcus Linnenbrink, Frederick Hammersley and Beat Zoderer.

Help Me Support the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health

My goal is to raise $5,000 to support the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) through the sale of art displayed in my new website. When  you make a donation to CAMH for the value of a designated artwork on this website, you will receive a tax receipt from CAMH (for the entire amount) and I will give you that artwork.

Support CAMH and get great art

More than ever before, we know that mental illness challenges can touch all of our lives. When you support CAMH, you acknowledge this fact and invest in the discoveries that will change peoples’ lives and the work of the professionals on the front lines of prevention and care. When you give, you become part of a growing movement that believes Mental Health is Health. For more information about CAMH go to http://www.camh.ca/.

If you are interested in supporting CAMH and receiving some great art, please email me  (art@mitchelltoker.com) or text me (416-885-0842).
